Stardate: Suplemental
It was really exciting to hear our September book referenced during the "Gender and Sexuality in Interactive Fiction" panel (Stars from My Pocket Like Grains of Sand by Samuel Delaney). Aaron Reed, author of Blue Lacuna, was citing the novel as an example of a literary work that only introduces character genders as they become relevant to the narrator.
For those of you who were not present for the July 27 book discussion - we discussed the possibility of including a work of Interactive fiction like Blue Lacuna or Analogue: a Hate Story the next time we build our reading list. (Analogue's author, Christine Love, was also a part of the panel as was Porpentine, another author we were considering).
After hearing the three of them speak, I am even more attracted to this idea. What do you think?
